3rd Grade Supply List

Dear Incoming 3rd Grade Families,

WELCOME! We look forward to seeing you on the first day of school. Starting at a new school will be a big adventure for your child, and our goal is for each scholar to have a positive transition to North Star. We are committed to working with them as they develop both academically and socially throughout the school year.

Please label everything you or your child cares about. This includes jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, and school supplies. Scholars should not bring anything to school that they would be upset to lose.

Over summer break, we encourage your child to work on fluency with addition and subtraction facts and continue to read.

You will receive additional information over the summer about the start of school. We are looking forward to a wonderful academic year with our newest North Star scholars!

Supply List -- Third Grade

*The student lockers measure 11 in. x 12 in. x 36 in. All backpacks must fit inside the locker. Please, no roller backpacks. (Students will not be transporting textbooks from home to school. Also, the third grade classrooms are located on the 2nd floor of the two-story building.)

1 set of sturdy headphones (not earbuds) in a labeled bag

Erasers

1 package of sharpened pencils

1 handheld, covered pencil sharpener -- non-electric

1 cloth zippered pencil pouch

1 red correcting pen

1 yellow highlighter

1 set of colored pencils (no more than 12 in the pack)

3 70-page spiral notebooks (any color) -- MUST BE WIDE RULED

3 composition notebooks (100pg) -- MUST BE WIDE RULED, NO ILLUSTRATION BOXES

2 folders

1 package of glue sticks

1 reusable water bottle (flip top or pop up lid only)
